What we collect on this site.
This page covers elman.ai, the website. It does not cover Elman Studio, our product, which is behind a login and has its own terms.
Analytics
We count page views using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. In Cloudflare's own words, it “does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics” and does not “fingerprint” individuals via their IP address, user agent or any other data.
What we see is a count: how many times a page was loaded, which site the reader arrived from, which country the request came from, and which browser. Not who. We cannot identify you from it, and we could not single you out even if we wanted to.
Who else touches the request
Two companies receive your request before we count it, because that is how the web works. This site is served by GitHub Pages, and the analytics beacon is answered by Cloudflare. Both therefore see your IP address, as does every website you visit. Their handling of it is governed by GitHub's privacy statement and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Neither of them passes your IP address to us. We never see it, and we hold no record of you.
If you write to us at hello@elman.ai we keep your message so we can reply to it. Nothing more.
Everything else
There is no advertising on this site, no session recording and no form that asks for your details. The pages are static files. The only script we load from another company is the Cloudflare counter described above.
